Gas Out

It’s family game night! You are all gathered in the kitchen, selecting your drinks and snacks, discussing what games you should play and then there is a loud sound, a sound that cannot be mistaken for anything else – the sound of a fart followed by hilarious laughter from the kids. No, someone hasn’t just entered the kitchen and let rip, one of the kids has picked up Gas Out to play.

Gas Out is a tabletop card game where trying NOT to pass gas is the object of the game. Guster the Gas Cloud™ is full of intestinal discomfort and he’s ready to rip! Get ready for some hilarious family fun trumpeting around the table. Toilet humour at its tooting best without any of the associated smells.

Gas Out is a hilarious card-based party game for 2-6 players, aged 5+. It is a game of passing your cards without passing gas! A game that will certainly appeal to children and fun-minded adults.

Gas Out

Before playing, batteries need to be installed in Guster, the green gas cloud. As he can’t be feed food to create his gas, that means unfortunately he requires 2xAA batteries which actually come supplied with the Gas Out unit (although as Guster is set to demo mode in the packaging, they might not be at full power). If you need to change the batteries, just unscrew the battery cover on the base of Guster and put in new ones.

This is a very simple game to set up and play. With Guster full of battery power, push the switch to ON (you can also switch to OFF or DEMO – if left in demo mode it will fart every time it is pressed). Place Guster in the centre of the table (it is best to be played on a hard surface such as a table to get the maximum sound effect). Shuffle the cards and deal each player 3 cards. Place the unused cards next to Guster, these become the draw pile. You are now ready to play.

The deck of cards contains NUMBER CARDS (1 to 5), SKIP CARDS (X) and REVERSE CARDS (left and right arrows). The number cards tell players how many times to press Guster the Gas Cloud, the skip cards (have an X on them) skips the next player, and the reverse cards (have left and right arrows on them) reverses the order of play.

Playing the game couldn’t be easier. The youngest player goes first by placing any card from their hand on the table – if they put down a number card they press Guster that number of times, if Guster doesn’t fart that player is safe and they pick up a new card from the draw pile (players must always have 3 cards in their hand). If a skip card is played the next player skips a turn (the game is played clockwise around the table). Play a reverse card, the game is then played anti-clockwise. If at any time Guster farts whilst pressing him, that player is eliminated. Play continues until there is only one player left who is declared the winner.

Gas Out

Overall, we think that Gas Out is a simple, quick and hilarious game. It is an excellent game to play to WIND down of an evening after TOOTING around all day or maybe even listening to news about Donald TRUMP. It is a game that whole family will enjoy and everybody can easily join in (as long as you have a sense of humour and don’t mind a big blast of a backend blowout, without the smell, from Guster). Guster isn’t silent, but he is definitely deadly!

Everyone in our house loved playing this. It left everybody in childish fits of giggles every time Guster let loose with one of his loud windy bottom burps – and if the adults weren’t laughing along, they would be trying their best to stifle a laugh (usually without success).

Whilst we love this game, the only downside we found was with the lack of storage. The box has an open front so cannot be used to store the game without bits falling out. This leaves the cards left loose – they do not have a box to store them in (we had to purchase a plastic playing card box to store them). With no storage or closed box it lends itself to cards being easily lost.

If you are looking for a simple and fun game for your family game nights or an easy game that the kids can play among themselves, I can recommend Gas Out. Simple and quick to play and lots of laughs.
