Pigeons, the “flying rats” of our city squares and the uninvited guests at every outdoor lunch, BBQ and picnic. If you can’t find them in the town squares, you will most certainly find them on park benches or at the very least, you will find the presents that they leave behind to leave their mark. Although the humble pigeon is more than just an annoyance, with the mail service not being great, maybe we should go back to using them as message carriers again, they could give any modern postal service a run for its money. Their homing skills could put a GPS to shame, they can fly faster than a city bus (60mph+) and they can even recognise themselves in a mirror! But let’s stop pigeon-toeing around and dive into the world of pigeons for a bit of fowl play in a game called Oh My Pigeons! from Ravensburger.
Oh My Pigeons! is a ridiculous party game of fowl play for 2-5 players, age 8+. It has a playing time of approximately 15 minutes. The idea is to rule the roost and be the first player to fill your bench with pigeons.

Oh My Pigeons! is a feathery fiasco of fun. It’s a game that’s not just about pigeons; it’s about strategy, chaos, and the unbridled joy of claiming a park bench like it’s your throne.
This is a very quick game to learn and play.
Setting up to play is simple. Each player is given a bench (a two player game has a slightly different bench with one extra pigeon space) and 3 pigeons to put on their bench. The remaining pigeons go in the middle of the playing area (the flock) so that everybody can reach them. Shuffle the cards and deal 3 to each player (if playing a two player game remove the cards with the not for 2 players symbol). Play starts with the player that last saw a pigeon.
To play, the starting player looks at the cards in their hand and places one face up on the table in the discard pile and follows the instructions on the card. This could be choosing a player to return a number of their pigeons to the flock, taking pigeons from the flock, trading benches, flicking poo (flicking the dice at one of your opponents benches to try and knock pigeons off) or voiding a card played by another player (this can be played at any time, not just on your turn). You need to strategically play your cards, sometimes losing some pigeons to a rival rather than feathering your own nest.
Overall, Oh My Pigeons! is a fun family game of strategy, friendly competition and bird war! It is very quick and easy to learn and play and players will be having fun within minutes of opening the box. Only the most cunning pigeon fancier will emerge victorious. Will you be the one to flock to the top, or will you end up flying back to the coop in defeat
The components are top-notch, with pigeon miniatures that are so adorable, you’ll forget they’re supposed to be your ruthless competitors. And the cards a riot of pigeon puns and bird-brained schemes, with excellent fun graphics, that will have you cooing with laughter.
