Monopoly is a classic board game and a staple in many households. A game of strategy, luck, and negotiation. Players buy, sell, and trade properties, aiming to bankrupt their opponents and become the wealthiest player. An excellent game for playing with family and friends. Speaking of friends, the American sitcom Friends is also a classic and was also a staple in many households when it ran on television from 1994 to 2004. Friends follows the lives of six friends – Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, and Phoebe – as they navigate the ups and downs of life in New York City. With its witty humour, memorable catchphrases, and heartwarming moments, Friends has become a cultural phenomenon. Both made for a funtastic evening of entertainment. Now imagine combining the strategic fun of Monopoly with the nostalgic charm of Friends. What do you get? Friends Monopoly of course.
Friends Monopoly brings the best of both worlds to your game night. Instead of traditional properties, you’ll buy, sell, and trade iconic moments from the show. Tokens like Joey’s Pizza, Ross’s Dinosaur, and Monica’s Chef Hat add a delightful twist to the classic game. As you move around the board, you’ll relive your favourite episodes and compete to own the most memorable moments from all ten seasons. If you’ve ever found yourself quoting Chandler’s sarcasm, swooning over Ross and Rachel’s on-again-off-again romance, or wishing you could sip coffee at Central Perk, then you’re a true Friends fan and will love playing the Friends edition of Monopoly.

Most people have played Monopoly and Friends Monopoly is played the same way. It takes the classic game and gives it a delightful fun twist with all things Friends. Instead of the usual tokens of the car, cat, hat etc., you get to choose from iconic items like Joey’s Pizza, Ross’s Dinosaur, Rachel’s Bag, Phoebe’s Guitar, Monica’s Chef Hat, and Chandler’s Jumper. And the property spaces are now memorable moments from the tv series such as Ross’s Teeth, All the Thanksgivings, and Phoebe Gets Married rather than the street names that you are familiar with from the original version of the game.
In the original game of Monopoly, players move around the board buying properties, building houses and hotels, and collecting rent due in a game of commercialism and trying to bankrupt your fellow players. Friends Monopoly is basically the same. As players move around the board, they’ll buy, sell, and trade episodes from all ten seasons of the show. Instead of houses and hotels, players invest in Central Perk sofas and coffee mugs. The game is packed with fun references and inside jokes that will have you and your friends reminiscing about your favourite scenes.

Overall, Friends Monopoly is a fantastic game if you are a fan of the tv show Friends. It is the same fun and strategic game of Monopoly but adds in the humour and fun of Friends. It is an engaging game for Friends fans, although not so much it you have never seen the show and don’t get the references.
What makes Friends Monopoly so engaging is how it brings the show’s humour and charm to life. Every turn is a trip down memory lane in the Friends universe. Whether you’re reenacting Ross’s “Pivot!” moment or debating who gets to be the Unagi master, there’s never a dull moment.
If you are a fan of Friends, then this version of Monopoly is great fun and a must-have for any fan of the show. It’s not just a board game; it’s an experience that brings friends together for laughter, nostalgia, and a bit of friendly competition.
If you don’t like Friends or have never seen it you are probably better off sticking with the classic version of the game. I love Friends and Monopoly so really loved played this. While it’s a 5/5 from me, non-Friends fans probably won’t have the same enjoyment.
