The Guitars Quiz Review

Overall, Pick, Play, and Quiz: The Guitars Quiz, from A Hobbyist’s Presents, will hit all the right notes for music and guitar aficionados. Combining rich, well-researched guitar trivia with fun, it makes a standout addition to any games shelf. With no complicated setup, it is easy to play anywhere (its compact deck of cards will fit into your pocket, bag or guitar case).

While it is quite a niche game, you do need to have a fair bit of knowledge about guitars and guitarists, it will appeal to music and guitar lovers so they can test their knowledge with like-minded friends as well as enhancing their knowledge on something that they are passionate about.

Guitar lovers will be faced with questions such as ”The archtop guitar was invented in the early 1900s. Who was responsible for its design?”“What is a silent guitar?” and “Who invented the humbucker?” Would you be able to answer these and others to test your knowledge and score highest to win the game? If yes, this is the game for you! If no, but love guitars, this is still the game for you.

Well this may be a very niche game, but it really is perfect for guitarists and musicians who love their trivia and competitive quizzing. With its quick rounds and conversation starters it makes a unique gift.

The only downside, as with all trivia games, is that once you get to know the answers replay value is limited, although you can always be the quizmaster with another group of friends so they can test their knowledge.

At under £10, it delivers hours of melodic fun that not only brings out that competitive spirit but sparks conversations about iconic guitars and players. Whether you’re buying for yourself or gifting a fellow guitarist, this quiz deck strikes the perfect chord.
